As per the Municipal Code, professional and business offices
are a permttted use in tots zone. Byers III is a Professional
interior decorating firm and will use the structure as an
office for a professional decorator. They have assured oUr
office that there will not De a retail sales store in the
space. Toe office will be toe only use in toe structure.
Tilts use also accompHslles toe intention of toe O-zone,that
being, "to provide for toe establisoment of offices and
associated commercial uses in such a way as to preserve the
visual scale and diaracter of formerly resi.dential areas that
now are adjacent to commercial and business areas and along
Main Street and other highvcilume tllroughfares." This location
has alley access and off-street parki,ng spaces off the alley.
Toe planning Office recommends apProval of the interior deCOr-
ating firm of Byers II! establish,'ng anofftce at 633 West
Main Street providing that no retail sales outlet is part of
the operation.

Professional and business offices are permitted uses in
the "0" - Office zone. Inasmuch as applicant represents
that there will be no retail sales and that applicant is
a professional interior decorating firm, it is my opinon
that the proposed use falls within the category of "pro-
fessional" or "business" office as a permitted use with-
in the "0" zone.
