ADDITIONAL DESIGN EFFORT In addition to the above listed extra services, we are requesting additional fees to cover design services already provided which have exceeded our original and amended fee estimates. The final design and site geometry was more complex than we had anticipated, requiring many additional details and more plan sheets. Also, we made changes to the wall and trail layout as required by CDOT (Washington Infrastructure) after the layout had previously been approved. Furthemmre, additional coordination and research was required to provide justification to CDOT for the proposed traffic signal. Finally, our office coordinated the distribution of the contract documents to the subcontractors, which required additional effort. The additional fees requested for the additional design effort will cover the design services already provided and plan changes and addenda that will result from the final CDOT review. We are requesting $28,420 in additional fees to provide the additional services listed above. A fee worksheet is attached. Please call if you have questions, or if you need additional information regarding this request. Sincerely, The Office of Accepted by: Loris and Associates, Inc.
