Based on the level of interest last year and the length of the waiting list, I am confident that I will have plenty of participation to fill both booths throughout the 2010 summer season. I have attached a summary of the 2010 Letter of Agreement. Brief summary of participation from 2007 - 2009: -2007 The ACRA had 11 Saturdays out of 20, 100% participation all 11 weekends were used. -2008 The ACRA alternated weekends with a local business, 9 Saturdays were available and the ACRA had 100% participation -2009 The CCLC provided the ACRA a booth with ALL 18 Saturdays for ACRA only business. All 18 Saturdays' were assigned however there were two no shows, October 3rtl. and October 17'". June thru mid September I did have a number of businesses on a waiting list to fill in for last minute cancellations. With a second booth the Chamber will be able to accommodate businesses who were not able to take advantage of the peak summer months. This year the Chamber will be sending out a mailer and blast email to its membership promoting the expanded benefit and opportunities to participate in the Aspen Saturday Market. Like previous years I will provide Kathy Strickland with the scheduled list of participants and keep here in the loop of any last minute cancellations. Thank You. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will manage all 18 Saturdays and has agreed to the following. 1. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will manage and schedule the ACRA Booth 18 consecutive Saturdays, June 19 -October 16. 2. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will complete and submit the 2010 application by 5:00 p. m. November 30, 2010. 3. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will pay a vendor fee of $460.00 for the 2010 Saturday Market. 4. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association will be responsible for promoting and recruiting ACRA Members to sign up for the 2010 Saturday Market Booth. 5. Only ACRA Members in good standing (dues paid in full) will be allowed to reserve the ACRA booth. Businesses will be required to pay a $25.00 fee per Saturday they reserve. 6. A check for $25.00 (per booth date), payable to the Aspen Chamber Resort Association must be received 10 business days prior to assigned booth date. Checks will not be refunded if you miss your assigned date. Eligibility/Guidelines: ACRA Business Booth: • Cost $25.00 per Saturday; make checks payable to the Aspen Chamber Resort Association. The ACRA booth is coordinated through the Aspen Chamber Resort Association. Local businesses are affected by the market. In order to support the ACRA membership, ACRA members in good standing are allowed to sign up for the ACRA booth. • MUST BE A MEMBER IN GOOD STANDING OF THE ASPEN CHAMBER RESORT ASSOCIATION • ACRA BUSINESSES CAN ONLY SELL WHAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR STORES OR PROMOTE WHAT THEY HAVE IN THEIR STORES. Must have a City of Aspen Business License, vendors are required to pay sales tax from their sales. Must have a business license and if not that fee is $150. Business License can be purchased through the City of Aspen Finance Department. • Saturday Market hours of operation B:OOam-3:OOpm every Saturday June 13-October 17. Setup 8:OOam-7:OOam. After Labor Day market hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. • *Aspen Chamber Members participating in the Saturday Market must provide their own 10 x 10 and be responsible for setup and teardown. Commercial Core and Lodging Commission: The C.C.L.C. (Commercial Core and Lodging Commission) has agreed to the following terms and has established the 2010 Saturday Market rules and guidelines. Mission Statement: Create a diverse market place for our Community and Visitors. 1. The C.C.L.C. will charge the ACRA $460.00 Vendor Fee for the 2010 Saturday Market. All participating businesses MUST adhere to the Saturday Market rules and guidelines established by the C.C.L.C.
