(Series of 1984) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN SUPPORTING THE ENACTMENT OF STATEWIDE LOTTO LEGISLATION WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Aspen believes that it has a responsibility to comment on legislation impacting the City of Aspen and its citizens and visitors; and WHEREAS, the City of Aspen's share of Conservation Trust Funds would increase significantly by the addition of the game of Lotto to the present Lottery games; and WHEREAS, parks and recreation play an integral role in main- taining and improving the quality of life for the City of Aspen and its citizens and visitors; and WHEREAS, a reduction in Conservation Trust Fund monies will diminish park, recreation and open space opportunities for the City of Aspen and its citizens and visitors. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN: Section 1 The City Council of the City of Aspen hereby expresses its support for the enactment of statewide lotto legislation.
