Leave at least 6' walkway space ADA requirements. Merchandise is to be from your store No amplified music No food or beverages No tent Overhang or umbrella height minimum of 7 feet. Extension cords need to be covered. Community development department supports the idea CCLC felt this should be kept to three weekends, there should be some control, and it should be marketing to tourists in driving range for these weekends ACRA feels this will accomplish two things Added value to people who are here Moves end of the season merchandise for stores ACRA Council Decision 1. Within the Commercial Core all outdoor merchandising areas shall demonstrate that: The horizontal clear area for pedestrian travel is a minimum of six feet (6') in width.. The clear walking surface must be solely within the City Right of Way and shall not include landscape areas, metal tree grates or other areas that are accessory to the sidewalk area. When measuring from the street, remember to allow for a two (2) foot door swing/bumper overhang from the face of the curb. The vertical clear area for pedestrian travel is a minimum of seven feet (7') in height. This measurement will be taken from the natural grade (sidewalk) to the base of the lowest feature that penetrates the City of Aspen Right of Way. This shall include awnings, flower baskets, or other signage that may penetrate the Right of Way. N m m W m n m d N V d n A?se 2009 Executive Summary Over the holidays, Aspen was transformed into a Winter Wonderland. During the 12 Days of Aspen, December 20- 31, downtown came alive with everything from free ice skating and carriage rides to concerts and carolers. Santa joined in the celebration, as did his reindeer Comet & Vixen To top it all off, Aspen celebrated New Year's Eve with a fireworks extravaganza over Aspen Mountain. Purpose: ACRA was approached by CCLC to Implement a "12 days of Aspen" promotion aimed to add vitality to the downtown core and provide additional value and experiences to the holiday visitor. ACRA worked with CCLC and collaborated with the community to create a calendar of existing events being held for the holidays, as well as adding Christmas music, entertainment and family friendly activities throughout the 12 days promotion. Many of the events were free ornearlyfree.
