etc. out of Colorado.
Saturday Market
Andrew suggested Louis Swiss move to Hyman. Andrew said with Little
Annie's drawing people in at 11 a.m. there is a need to draw vendors to
Hyman in the morning. There is room on the south side of Hyman for Louis
Swiss. Andrew said he will contact Louis Swiss after City Council
approves the expansion.
Terry suggested asking Heather and Stephen Isberian to come to the meeting
regarding the approval of the Saturday Market.
Bill said someone has to follow -up on the sales taxes and make sure the
vendors are paying their taxes.
John mentioned that it isn't our job to follow up on sales tax.
Terry did a person survey and there were only about two booths that
registered not well.
Kathy said she would check with Jim Harmon on the sales tax issue.
John mentioned gourmet food trucks that are in Australia. They are
everywhere. Possibly the City of Aspen should consider something like this.
Andrew also mentioned food truck courts that are in California.
Mark Goodman said food trucks are an uphill battle.

Kathy said City Council had several public hearings regarding food carts and
numerous restaurants came to the meeting and City Council denied them.
Existing restaurants did not want the competition.
Mark said he thought there were too many local businesses on Hyman
coming out to the street. Mark suggested a 10x10 booth for existing stores
only
Andrew pointed out that the Isberian's came to the table and helped the
market succeed so we allowed them 20 additional feet. Andrew suggested
we continue the 20 feet. Kathy agreed.
Terry pointed out to the board that Hyman has more stores than any other
street and that needs to be taken into consideration.
Bill said he still doesn't feel there is clarity on how we represent stores on
Hyman and if they don't have a booth they are allowed space. What is so
special about the gallery being allowed to come out one hour later?
Terry agreed with Bill that the gallery needs to come out at the regular time.
Andrew said our learning curve is still occurring. We deal with each
individual on a one to one basis. Andrew said he and Kathy went to Brian
and asked if he could come out earlier. Brian said he couldn't because he
has to get two children to school etc. and his wife works.
Bill mentioned having Debbie Braun coming to the next meeting and giving
and update on the future of the marketing plan.
Terry mentioned that the trash pick -up in Red onion alley is again coming
before 7 instead of 8:00. Terry requested a copy of the correspondence after
Environmental Health reviews it.
Bill and John asked if Nancy Lesley can come to the next meeting give an
update on the 12 days of Aspen.
