A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO,
ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR THE PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, Ordinance #19, Series of 2010, was approved by the voters in November 2010,
which ordinance amends Section 4.10(h) of the Charter of the City of Aspen to allow ordinances
to be published in full or by title by posting to the city's internet website; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to establish procedures for such posting of ordinances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT:
Section 1
1. Before City Council causes the first reading of any proposed ordinance, the City Clerk
shall post the entire proposed ordinance on the City of Aspen's internet web site in a section
entitled "Legal Notices." The notice shall provide a short summary of the ordinance and indicate
the date(s) of any scheduled public hearings and the date scheduled for second reading of the
proposed ordinance. The notice shall be in substantially the form indicated below:
LEGAL NOTICE
ORDINANCE #X, 2011, PUBLIC HEARING
Ordinance #X, Series of 2011, was adopted on first reading by the Aspen City
Council at its meeting on [date]. This ordinance, if adopted, will
[provide short summary of proposed ordinance]
The public hearing on this ordinance is scheduled for [datel , at 5
PM, Aspen City Hall, 130 South Galena.

2. Following the adoption of all ordinances, the City Clerk shall cause to be posted on the
City's internet website the entire ordinance as adopted by the City Council and shall indicate the
effective date of the ordinance.
