Home My WebLink Aboutcclc.min.02062019 REGULAR MEETING COMMERCIAL CORE & LODGING COMMISSION FEBRUARY 06, 2019 Chairperson Steve Fante opened the meeting at 8:30 a.m. Commissioners in attendance: Charles Cunniffe, Jeb Ball, Kiki Raj, Terry Butler, Steve Fante, Bill Dinsmoor, Amanda Tanaka, Angi Wang. Staff present: Nicole Henning, Deputy City Clerk Mitch Osur, Parking Services Director Other attendees: Market Manager, Kathy Strickland and Ward Hauenstein COMMISSIONER COMMENTS: Mr. Ball gave a summary of the Saturday Market score sheets. Ms. Wang entered the meeting. Ms. Strickland said that the Aggies would like to close the market this summer at 2:30 p.m. and they would like to start a week earlier for 2020. CCLC said they would like to stay open until 3:00 p.m. Ms. Strickland said for 2020, if you are reapplying as an aggie and applying late, there is a $100.00 fine. Ms. Henning mentioned voting in a new chair and vice chair for 2019. Mr. Dinsmoor said he wants to keep the chair and vice chair the same as 2018. Mr. Fante said he is not interested in being chair any longer. Ms. Tanaka nominated Mr. Ball for chair and he said he would like to do it. Ms. Raj nominated Ms. Tanaka for vice chair. Mr. Cunniffe said he is happy to stay vice chair. All in favor for Mr. Ball as chair and Mr. Cunniffe as vice, motion carried. Ms. Wang said we need to address the subject of outdoor patio spaces; specifically, Ellina and Moncler. Ms. Henning said she will discuss with Ms. Manning. Ms. Tanaka brought up the newsletter and suggested just doing one for spring and one in the fall. She almost mentioned discussing pop-ups in the future. Mr. Dinsmoor reminded everyone about the airport committees and said he will report back to the group regarding the committee he is on. Mr. Hauenstein and Mr. Cunniffee are also on these committees. Ms. Wang said we should get a welcome basket ready for Ojea. MOTION: Mr. Fante motioned to adjourn at 10:00 a.m., Mr. Cunniffe seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
