WHEREAS, The Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Aspen and Pitkin County establishing the Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority, which becomes effective on August 1, 2019, sets forth the composition of the Board of Directors as follows: One (1) Director shall be a member of City Council, One (1) Director shall be a member of the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC), one (1) Alternate Director shall be a member of City Council, one (1) Alternate Director shall be a member of the BOCC, and three (3) Directors and one (1) Alternate Director shall be jointly appointed by the City Council and the BOCC; and WHEREAS, Directors appointed from the City Council shall serve at the pleasure of the City Council. WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Skippy Mesirow as the Director and Rachael Richards as the Alternate Director to the APCHA Board of Directors; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO, THAT: Pursuant to the Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Aspen and Pitkin County establishing the Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority, effective as of August 1, 2019, Skippy Mesirow is hereby appointed as Director and Rachael Richards as the Alternate Director to the APCHA Board of Directors. WHEREAS, City Councilmembers serve on various community boards and commissions and decide amongst themselves which members shall serve on which board; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Torre and Ann Mullins to serve on the Colorado Association of Ski Towns (CAST) board; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ann Mullins to serve on the DRGW Covenant Enforcement board; and, WHEREAS, The City Council has appointed Ward Hauenstein and Skippy Mesirow to serve on the North West Colorado Council of Government (NWCOG); and WHEREAS, The City Council has appointed Torre to the Aspen Chamber Resort Association board; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ann Mullins to the Ruedi Water & Power Authority; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ward Hauenstein to serve on the CORE board; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ward Hauenstein and Ann Mullins to the Sister Cities board; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Rachael Richards and Ann Mullins to the CML Policy Advisory Board; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ward Hauenstein to the Nordic Council; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Torre to the Board of Health; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Skippy Mesirow to the Burlingame Housing Inc Board of Directors to replace the seat filled by Sara Ott; and WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed Ann Mullins and Ward Hauenstein to the RFTA Board.
