RE: Petition to Rezone Oklahoma Flats
Will you see to it that both Bill Kane and I get a
copy of the Petition to Rezone that Remo Lavagnino sub-
mitted to the City Council on November 10th. It should
be a supportive document for the rezoning file. Thanks.

PETITION FOR REZONING
SUBMISSION TO THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF ASPEN
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
Dated 1975.
The undersigned, all being owners of real property
located within the Oklahoma Flats Subdivision of the City of
Aspen, County of Pitkin, do hereby petition the City Council
of the City of Aspen to pass an ordinance rezoning the entire
Oklahoma Flats Subdivision from the current R-15 designation
to R-30.
In support of their petition petitioners state the
following:
1. The only current access to Oklahoma Flats is by
a single narrow unpaved road.
2 . The unique topography of Oklahoma Flats and the
fact that the Roaring Fork River abuts the property make the
existing road the only practical access.
3. There is already excessive congestion and vehi-
cular traffic as a result of existing development of the
property and if the full density permitted under R-15 zoning
were to occur, the congestion, vehicular traffic and diffi-
culty in providing for necessary services such as parking,
trash collection and snow removal would be increased to a
point where the health, safety and general welfare of the
residents of Oklahoma Flats would be endangered.
WHEREFORE, in order that the quality of life and
general welfare of the residents of Oklahoma Flats can be
maintained, the undersigned respectfully petition City
Council for an ordinance rezoning the Oklahoma Flats Subdi-
vision to R-30.
