in attendance: Terry Butler, Bill Dinsmoor, Kiki Raj, Siam Castillo and Riley
Tippet. Andrew Kole was absent.
MOTION: Bill moved to approve the minutes of Sept. 19th second by Kiki. All in
favor, motion carried.
Dan Nelson said he is fixing outlets for the holiday lights. Bears are an issue and
the Parks Dept. is purchasing different lids that lock. A hand dryer will be
installed at the Wagner Park bathrooms.
Don mentioned a lighting ceremony to start off the holidays, similar to what the
Sardy House does.
Market:
Terry and Kiki suggested we look at changing the application deadline for 2014.
Terry said as a business person people need to know early if they are in or not.
MOTION: Kiki made the motion to have the application deadline for 2014
November 30th; second by Riley. All in favor, motion carried.
Rebecca Bourke application.
Kathy said Rebecca sent the e-mail requesting information as to whether she can
be approved early or not in the market. There are certain circumstances that have
come up and she needs to apply to other markets early on and the deposit is non-
refundable.
Riley said he is not comfortable letter her in ahead of time.
Terry said as a business person we need anchors in the market. There will be new
people coming in that will alternate and add freshness. All the anchor vendors do
new designs. They have to keep up with what is in demand and in style.
MOTION: riley made the motion to let Rebecca know that we don't see any
reason why she wouldn't be back but we can't approve her until the deadline is up
or when CCLC approves ten or so anchor spots to be decided by CCLC members.
Motion second by Siam. All in favor, motion carried. 5-1. Terry opposed.

12 days of Aspen
Hannah Christian, Julie Hardman
Hannah said the 12 days of Aspen will be Dec. 201h through the 31". There will be
a tent by Wagner Park clock tower so people can find information and that is the
staging area. We will have an ice skating party to kick off the 12 days. The
reindeer will be back. We will also have a samoore party by Wagner Park and
story time by Jill Sheeley. In addition we will have the photo booth and hopefully
a Santa by the reindeer.
Hannah said this year they are getting a larger tent. A fondue party is being
proposed but not in the final stages.
Kiki asked about Saturday market vendors being involved.
Bill mentioned that there is no power and it would not look right just having a few
vendors here and there.
Kiki suggested we have spiced cider and hot coco. We could have two carts on the
mall with roasted chestnuts. Kiki said Ryan Chadwick would like to have a cart
out all winter and he would provide roasted chestnuts and serve alcohol. He also
wants to do an ice sculpture.
Hannah pointed out that the ACRA hands out hot coco free.
Don suggested doing the lighting ceremony Dec. 201h and the Mayor can turn the
switch on.
Bill said we can locate two carts for the 12 days of Aspen and they can sell
chestnuts and spiced cider.
Kathy said she will check with Parks etc. and see how it all can play out.
Market
Kathy said she discussed shading for the market and many of the vendors don't
want it. They want the market to be open air.

Bill said a retractable awning would be important for patrons and they would linger
longer at the market. Also the dog's feet wouldn't get so hot.
Siam pointed out that the sunshine is important for her booth and she doesn't want
it covered up.
Riley pointed out that the market is usually cool and he doesn't see the necessity
for the awnings. Kiki agreed.
CCLC goals
Mall leases to be allowed to stay out during winter.
Anchors selected for the Saturday market
Riley said he likes what we are doing with our mall leases and it would be great to
create that entertainment in the winter.
Month long winter market like they have in Europe.
