HomeMy WebLinkAboutresolution.council.009-12 A RESOLUTION OF THE ASPEN CITY COUNCIL EXTENDING THE ASPEN MODERN 90 DAY NEGOTIATION PERIOD FOR HISTORIC DESIGNATION AND BENEFITS RELATED TO THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 514 E. HYMAN AVENUE,LOT N, BLOCK 94, CITY AND TOWNSITE OF ASPEN. Resolution No. 9, Series of 2012 WHEREAS, Mason and Morse, Inc., represented by Haas Land Planning and CCY Architects, submitted an application pursuant to Section 26.415.025.C, AspenModern Properties, of the Aspen Municipal Code, to voluntarily participate in the AspenModern ninety-day negotiation period for 514 E. Hyman Avenue, Lot N, Block 94, City and Townsite of Aspen; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 26.415.025.C.1, the ninety-day AspenModern negotiation commenced on November 29, 2011 and will expire on February 27, 2012; and WHEREAS, a public hearing cannot be scheduled before City Council until March 12, 2012, therefore staff and the property owner are in agreement that a 30 day extension of the negotiation to March 28, 2012 is appropriate to allow additional time to discuss options for the property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ASPEN, COLORADO: The 514 E. Hyman Avenue negotiation period established by Aspen Municipal Code Section 26.415.025.0 is hereby extended to March 28, 2012.
