At 6:00 PM Mayor Torre called the special meeting to order with Councilmembers Richards, Hauenstein,
Mesirow and Mullins present.
RESOLUTION #68 and #69, SERIES OF 2019 – Appointment of Councilmembers to various boards
and commissions
Councilwoman Richards moved to adopt Resolution #69, Series of 2019 amending the appointment to the
CORE board with Ann Mullins as an alternate; seconded by Councilman Mesirow. All in favor, motion
carried.
Councilwoman Richards moved to adopt Resolution #68, Series of 2019; seconded by Councilman
Mesirow. All in favor, motion carried.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Jim True, city attorney, recommended council go in to executive session pursuant to C.R.S. 24-6-402(a)
The purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of any real, personal or other property interest; (b)
Conference with an attorney for the local public body for the purposes of receiving legal advice on
specific legal questions including litigation update regarding Centennial Owners’ Association v. City of
Aspen, The Thomas M Marshall Revocable Trust, et al v. The City of Aspen, et al, North Mill street LLC
v. City of Aspen et al, 119 Neale Avenue LLC v. City of Aspen, et al, Mountain Laurel LLC v. City of
Aspen, City of Aspen Local Licensing Authority and Clark’s Market, Frontier, LLC v 777 Gibson LLC,
The City of Aspen, et al and discussion with attorney regarding possible litigation; (e) (I) Determining
positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and
instructing negotiators. Mr. True also added the Aspen Club bankruptcy.
Councilwoman Richards moved to go in to executive session; seconded by Councilwoman Mullins. All
in favor, motion carried. At 8:15p.m.; Councilman Hauenstein moved to come out of executive session;
seconded by Councilwoman Mullins. All in favor, motion carried. Councilman Hauenstein moved to
adjourn; seconded by Councilwoman Mullins. All in favor, motion carried.
