BEFORE THE CITY OF ASPEN BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AFFECTED BY THE REQUESTED ZONING OR USE
VARIANCE DESCRIBED BELOW:
Pursuant to the Official Code of Aspen of June 25, 1962, as
amended, a public hearing will be held in the SECOND FLOOR MEETING
ROOM, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado, (or at such other place as the
meeting may be then adjourned) to consider an application filed
with the said Board of Adjustment requesting authority for variance
from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 24, Official
Code of Aspen. All persons affected by the proposed variance are
invited to appear and state their views, protests or objections.
If you cannot appear personally at such meeting, you are urged to
state your views by letter, particularly if you have objection to
such variance, as the Board of Adjustment will give serious
consideration to the opinions of surrounding property owners and
others affected in deciding whether to grant or deny the request
for variance.

Dear Bill:
Brooke Peterson and Diane Tegmeyere are requesting a
variance regarding a front yard setback. They would like to
expand their kitchen and dining room to the East. They
currently have approximately two hundred and eighty square
feet (280) of Floor Area remaining.. The proposed addition is
approximately two hundred and sixty square feet (260).
I have enclosed the following information:
1. City of Aspen, Board of Adjustment
Development Application (nine (9) copies).
2. Nine (9) copies of the proposed addition
showing the requested front yard setback variance request.
3. Current mailing list of all adjacent property
owners within 300 feet.
4. The application fee of $100.00

Thank you very much for your const11lctive comments on the Alderfer Construction
Agreement. r will certainly follow up on this immediately. For your information, the $525 fee
paid by Paul Andersen was in connection with this project and not other work. Therefore, 1 will
cerLainly ask for a rcfund if the funds can not be used by Alderfer or any new contnlctor. I will
keep you advised as to the response from Alderfer.
On another matter, please tell Diane Lhat Helene and I have not objection what so ever to
your variance. We just received the notice of this yesterday. You may certainly so state my
approval at the Apri113 meeting if that will he of Imy help to you.

Dear Chairman Patterson and Board of Adjustment Members:
As you mayor may not recall, on April 13, 1995, I was granted
an eight (8) foot variance from my front lot line set back at
0222 Roaring Fork Drive, Aspen, Colorado (Lot 22, Eastwood Subdivi-
sion). This variance was granted in order to allow me to construct
an addition to my kitchen and dining room.
I am hereby requesting that this variance be extended for
one (1) year. Although the plans for the addition are "in the
works", I doubt that they will be finished in time to apply for
my building permit prior to April 13, 1996.
I would appreciate it if you would grant my request for an
extension. Of course, I would be more than happy to meet with the
Board at your convenience.
