NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CASE NO. 84-22
BEFORE THE CITY OF ASPEN BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT
TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AFFECTED BY THE REQUESTED ZONING OR USE VARIANCE
DESCRIBED BELOW:
Pursuant to the Official Code of Aspen of June 25, 1962, as amended, a
public hearing will be held in the Council Room, City Hall, Aspen, Colorado,
(or at such other place as the meeting may be then adjourned) to consider
an application filed with the said Board of Adjustment requesting authority
for variance from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 24,
Official Code of Aspen. All persons affected by the proposed variance
are invited to appear and state their views, protests or objections.
If you cannot appear personally at such meeting, then you are urged to
state your views by letter, particularly if you have objection to such
variance, as the Board of Adjustment will give serious consideration to
the opinions of surrounding property owners and others affected in deciding
whether to grant or deny the request for variance.

My name is David Huie and I've lived at 175 Park ave. for almost 9 years.
Arnie and Magna have been very good to all of us renters. Probably the
most reasonable land lords in town with rent of $460. a month. My
profession is Cinematography and carpentry. I travle a lot and like
living here alot and have no plans to move.

To Whom it May Concern,
I have been a tenant of Arne Marthinsson since May 1983.
During that time Arne has never raised the rent from the $510
for a 2 bedroom a month he charged me in May of 1983.
I continue to rent from Arne because he offers low cost
housing in Aspen. Included in the monthly rent is the electric,
water, garbage, cable and gas. With the average rent in Aspen
at $600 a month for a 2 bedroom plus utilities, first , last and
deposit, Arne offers low cost rent voluntarily. I talked to
Pat at the Cenntennial Office and she told me a 2 bedroom 2 bath
at Centennial will cost to rent between $652 to $700 a month
without utilities. Arne only charges you first and last to move
in. He returns last month rent when you move out and he has
checked over your apartment for damage and he is very fair.
Arne has been a good landlord.
