DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED EXCEPTION SHOHING JUSnFlCATIm!S:
The applicants wish a variance from the Zoning Code of the City of
Aspen, Sec: 24-3.4, Area & Bulk Requirements, L-2 Zone District, Minim~~ Rear
Yard setback requirement of 10 feet. ~he subject property was constructed from
a mining tipple to which was added a bathroom extension in 1966. A partial
vacation of Dean Street was obtained covering only the 'area of the bathroom
addition. The addition was constructed such that a small (4'x6.5') area was
le~t vaca~t between the walls. ~he applicants wish to enclose this unusable
area for relocation of their kitchen appliances from the living rooms, for
utilities and for storage. Enclosing the area 'to bring 't:h-eback"wall to'the
side of Dean Street would leave no setback. The area is tucked behind the
vacated portion of Dean and is unusable for any street or other 'purpose. I': ''::oP''

provided by the Clerk of the Board describing the matters
herein on the subject property of the application, which sign
was clearly visible from Dean and Galena Streets, that I
checked at various intervals, and to the best of my knowledge
and belief the notice did remain in place through the 27th
day of March 1980.
