This conveyance was in violation of the zoning (6000 sq. ft. minimum lot size) code. I purchased the house and lot in 1975 and was unaware of its non-conforming status. I had always thought that the expansion of a single family house was permitted by right. If the lot was subdivided prior to 1956, I could expand. Bleeker and have talked with him about his proposed addition and have seen his plans. The existing house is quite small and the proposed addition will not alter the appearance of the lot. The addition will definitely im- prove the appearance of the house and will be an asset to the neighborhood. Therefore, I would like to go on record as being in favor of granting the variance.
