The existing lodge and dwelling unit is on a 4500 square foot lot.

To Whom it may concern:
As an owner of Unit # 201, Queen Victoria Condominiums (916
E. Hopkins Street), I protest the variance requested by John
Werning and the Endeavor Lodge. The building is already
"over-grown" in appearance, having been remodeled and expanded
several times. In its present condition, it can hardly be called
a credit to the neighborhood. Although I have not seen plans
for the proposed expansion, any additions could only compound
the already cluttered appearance.
This lodge also has no off-street parking. If any off-street
parking is claimed by the owner it is the result of parking on the
front "yard", with the tail-end of the auto hanging well into
the street. As a result, the lodge causes more than its share of
parking congestion in its present configuration. The
addition of three more apartments should certainly create
additional problems.

To whom it may concern:
We. the owners of the Gavilon Condominiums. vigorously
protest any variance which would permit the expansion
of the Endeavor Lodge without also providing adequate
parking for the entire facility. The lodge already
appears larger than it should be for the size of the
lot. and it currently has no provision for parking
other than parking on the street. Because of the type
of occupancy (i.e.. up to four individuals to a room.
each of which could have a car). it contributes unduly
to parking problems in the area.
The lodge is generally unkept in appearance. and there
is no reason to believe that any future expansion would
be beneficial in improving the situation. In fact a number
of small additions have recently been added. such as
a laundry room. which appear to exceed set-back and
density requirements.

TO ALL PROPERTY OWNERS AFFECTED BY THE REQUESTED ZONING OR USE VARIANCE
DESCRIBED BELOW:
Pursuant to the Official Code of Aspen of June 25, 1962, as amended, a
public hearing will be held in the Council Room, City Hall, Aspen, Colo-'
rado, (or at such othel place as the meeting may be then adjourned) to
consider an application filed with the said Board of Adjustment requesting
authority for variance from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, Chapter
24, Official Code of Aspen. All persons affected by the proposed v~riance
are invited to appear and state their views, protests or objections. If
you cannot appear personally at such meeting, then you are urged to state.
