Robert W. Cline was our architect.
We were informed by him that the Building Permit was applied for and
approved by the City of Aspen Building Department. Mr. Cline gave us the
understanding that he had told the building department there would be a
delay encountered because of title problems with the land and an approval
of an SBA loan, also for the plans to be put out for bids.
We had to have the plans and the approval for building to present to
the SBA.
On March 22, 1972 I wrote check # in the amount of $111.00, to the
City of Aspen for the building permit. The City cashed the check, but no
permit was issued. We were under the impression that the permit would be
issued when the SBA 10<4, w~s completed, and we purchased the property.
We were also informed by Mr. Cline that he had received a variance on
"
the 25 per cent green law, since we were an existing building.
~e title problem on the land was not solved till Oct. of 1972.
The SBA loan was approved 12_26_72 and just completed with the bank
3_21_73. We have been waiting all this time on the loan.
Now it seems we have no building permit and can not complete our plans.
