Description of proposed exception showing justification: We have been required to remove seven feet from the west end of the Sagewood Condominium at 8th & Hallam. In redesigping the twelve units we have changed to 11 units only. On the second fllor we have a stair landing which protrudes into the five foot setback a distance of 2'4". We request a variance to allow this landing because it is virtually iq:>ossible to shorten ,the stairway anymore and still have access to all units. llew plans have been submitted showing detail of stairs and new floor plan. Provisions of the Zoning Ordinance requ~r~Dg the Building Inspector to forward this application to the Board of Adjustment and reason for not granting permit. APPLICATION IS MADE FOR A BUILDING PERMIT TO REMOVE SEVEN FEET FROM THE WEST END OF A 12 UNIT DWEI1..ING AND REMODEL THE BUILDING INTO A 11 UNIT DWELLING. THE PROPOSED RECONSTRUCTION WILL HAVE A STAIR LANDING PROJECTING INTO THE REQUIRED 5 foot SIDE YARD. NO PROJECTION IS PERMITTED INTO A REQUIRED YARD FOR STAIR L#lRINGS. All persons affected by the proposed variance are invited to appear and state their views, protests or objections. If you cannot appear personally at such meeting, then you are urged to state your views by letter, particularly if you have objection tt> such variance, as the Board of Adjustment will give serious con- sideration to the opinions of surrounding property owners and others affected in deciding whether to grant or deny the request for variance.
