Wall mounted vent at party wall. Existing hot water baseboards connected to common boiler shared with entire building - this system is to remain. Supplemental heating & cooling is currently being provided in the Great Room areas by a ductless, wall-mounted mini-split HVAC system with the condensing unit mounted on the roof - this system is to remain. This unit is located above the Unit Entry. A new, similar ductless unit is proposed to add supplemental heating & cooling to the bedrooms, and the outside condensing unit will be located above the closets separating the 2 bedrooms. If needed, I can add a dotted line showing the approximate location of the roof-top units, but the final location will determined by field conditions. Please see existing note on A2.1 where we call out - to minimize the damage to the existing party wall during demolition of existing Kitchen, Laundry & Master Bath (the plumbing in the wall is remaining in place) and where we will be adding the one new wall (between Laundry and Kitchen). We want to do the environmentally right thing and keep most of the existing GWB and only patch as need to match existing. All new GWB will be type 'X'. Please confirm that the STC 50 & 1-hour rated assembly is only required on the party wall, correct? Please confirm that the STC 50 & 1-hour rated assembly not required at ceiling. This is the highest roof on the building, there are no openings (skylights) on the roof. Will run a section of rigid, metal vent up through the roof and vent onto our roof and away from the neighboring unit. We will add wall-mounted make-up air unit on north wall of Great Room to provide make-up air. 6 7 8 New Existing and Proposed Roof Plans - A2.2 Locate & dimension existing & new HVAC units. All units more than 10'-0" from edge of roof, so no guards are required. Also noted that the height from existing Great Room Deck to roof parapet is less than 16'-0", so so permanent ladder is required. 5/18/2018
