Response letter to conversation with Engineering
1. The plans indicate the neighboring north and east properties are providing
temporary easements for the construction of the wall. Please provide supporting
documentation for review.
Please see documents named; agreement Strobl.Curley Easement - Recorded
and agreement HOA .2017.01
2. It does not appear the geotechnical report provides soil design
parameters for the stabilization design. Please provide supporting
documentation that shows the parameters in the temporary shoring plans meet
those on the site or where they can be found in the report.
See Response Letter Temporary Excavation Support by Rock Solid Solutions
3. Has the neighborhood HOA approved the encroachment into Maple
Ln?
Please see agreement HOA .2017.01
4. The drawings provided appear to show the micropile cap is below
the adjacent finished grade, which could cause negative impacts to the
neighboring properties. Please indicate why the cap isn’t at grade and how
neighboring properties will be protected from negative impacts.
Cap is below grade at the request of the neighbor. This is so finished grade or
the concrete sidewalk can be restored over the top of the cap at completion of
construction.
5. It appears the structure on the property to the west may be
negatively impacted by the excavation. Please provide supporting documentation
which shows excavation stabilization is not required in this area.
See Response Letter Temporary Excavation Support by Rock Solid Solutions
6. Given the proximity of the south basement wall to the lot line please
indicate how excavation will be done in this area and stay within the lot line
boundary. It would appear excavation stabilization would also be required in this
area. Please provide supporting documentation that demonstrates why it is not
required.
Encroachment into south greenbelt is allowed by the HOA. Please see
agreement HOA .2017.01 and Response Letter Temporary Excavation Support
by Rock Solid Solutions
7. The Applicant/Contractor shall pothole all utilities in close proximity
and verify no conflicts are present before the installation of such systems.
Contractor will pothole all utilities prior to commencement of construction.
