This does not meet prescriptive
req's if I am reading your
insulation schedule correctly.
Either provide insulation values
on the detail or provide more
detail on the schedule. As I read
it your flat roof rigid insulation
give you 24.2 average R value
with a 4" average thickness. In
order to have the req'd R 49 for
the ceiling you would need to
have the full 4" of rigid insulation
which is not what this detail
shows.

such
Tempered window has been noted on
the window schedule.
The intent is that the R-49 is met with
both continuous insulation above deck
as well as cavity spray foam insulation.
The insulation schedule indicates two
different categories for this insulation.
We have adjusted the detail to indicate
4" of rigid insulation above deck at the
minimum point.
Interior doors have been added to
door schedule. See sheet A-602

On page 3 of the Mechanical Design Assist file the ventilation system
equipment is laid out. Each bathroom exhaust fan will exceed the 50 cfm
intermittent flow requirement, the garage fan will be sized at 100
cfm/vehicle, and the kitchen make-up air system will be automatic and
balanced. The remaining house will have operable windows in all bedrooms
as well as (2) Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs); these are sized
according to ASHRAE 62.2 for a minimum size of 280 cfm, which exceeds
the IMC requirement of 90 cfm.
RCP's have included IECC 404.1 note,
referencing at least 50% of all lamps
must be high efficacy.
RCP's have included IECC 402.5,
showing all recessed cans are sealed
and IC rated. A cut sheet and graphic
has been supplied as well.
Mechanical ventilation is required throughout the home per
COA 8.16.020(k). Show the locations of the ventilation
equipment/supply and return air throughout the home in
your plans to demonstrate compliance with this. Operable
windows do not help meet this requirement.

Page 2 of the Mechanical Design Assist file
has the Snowmelt sequence of operations. This
sequence calls for outdoor temperature
sensors and slab snow/ice sensors which in
conjunction with a Tekmar controller will
operate the snowmelt system in compliance of
IECC 403.8.
The Manual J design conditions do not reference any
boiler efficiency, they show the results of the heat loss and
gain modelling. The snowmelt boilers referenced in the
REMP worksheet are existing and the cutsheet is
attached. The pool boiler efficiency is based off a Raypak
R206-406 pool heater which is 82% efficient, but is subject
to change by the pool contractor.
