Please include limits of excavation on plans with slopes and top & bottom elevations to ensure no encroachment into the setback. Slopes steeper than 3:1 are not allowed. Please adjust plans. Top of bank layer and callout added to Demo plan. Top of wall elevations added to the Grading and Drainage sheet. Additional slope arrows have been added to the driveway area to ensure that all runoff will reach the drywells south of the driveway Please refer to the Demolition Plan on sheet C4 for excavation limits. Spot elevations have been added on the edge of the setback to confirm that there is no encroachment into the setback. Grading in this area has been modified to make sure there are no slopes greater than 3:1. Please have a structural engineer provide a detail for the boulder walls greater than 4' in height. All water from driveway must reach drywells. With current design, the surface runoff from the driveway will not reach drywells. Drywell grates must be lowered. Please adjust the plans. Please provide a mechanism to easily inspect the gravel bed. Page Label: [8] C7 LAYOUT Author: mikeh Date: 3/23/2017 9:18:33 AM File Name: 1419 CRYSTAL LAKE DRIVE.CivilSet.02.13.2017.pdf Approximately 17' of excavation is required to install drywells. No limits of excavation or stabilization plans were included. Please adjust plans to include excavation design for drywells. Walls greater than 4' in height must be designed by a structural engineer. Please have a structural engineer provide a detail for the boulder walls greater than 4' in height. Drywell rims elevations are approximately 99.5'. All water from driveway must reach drywells. With current design, the surface runoff from the driveway will not reach drywells. Drywell grates must be lowered. Please adjust the plans. What material is this walkway? If impervious, runoff must be collected and treated. Please clarify material of walkway. How will maintenance/inspections occur for the gravel bed below the snowmelted patio? Please provide a mechanism to easily inspect the gravel bed. Approximately 17' of excavation is required to install drywells. No limits of excavation or stabilization plans were included. Please adjust plans to include excavation design for drywells. The wall on the NE corner of the auto-court has been modified to be less than 4' in height, so no structural design for this boulder wall will be required. Grading in this area has changed to reflect a shortened wall. Drywell rim elevations have been adjusted so that all runoff from the driveway will reach the grates. Spot elevations have been added to drywell grates on grading and drainage page to match up with profile view elevations. The walkway located to the west of the residence is composed of pervious pavers. No runoff on this walkways will need to be collected. A callout has been added to the grading and drainage sheet clarifying what material this is. Maintenance and inspections on the gravel bed below the patio will be able to be performed through each of the drain basins located on the ends of "Perforate Pipe-C6" and "Perforated Pipe-C8". There will be much more sediment buildup in the drain basins rather than the gravel bed itself. Both of the drywells have been moved into the driveway and no shoring will be required. The layback limits for the deep drywell excavations will not effect any of the trees on site. Layback limits are now shown on the demo sheet (Sheet C3) of the civil set. Current design would allow for drainage to remain in drainage basin 9 without infiltrating in the rock bed. All runoff must reach rock bed. Please adjust plans. Please adjust the plans so that all runoff reaches the rock bed and no standing water is left in drains. Page Label: [11] C10 DETAILS Author: mikeh Date: 3/23/2017 9:12:22 AM File Name: 1419 CRYSTAL LAKE DRIVE.CivilSet.02.13.2017.pdf This detail must be included in the plans, not just referred to. Please adjust plans. Is drain basin 9 necessary? Current design would allow for drainage to remain in drainage basin 9 without infiltrating in the rock bed. All runoff must reach rock bed. Please adjust plans. Low point against wall? All runoff from pipe C5 will not reach rock bed due to inverts in drain basin C6. Please adjust the plans so that all runoff reaches the rock bed and no standing water is left in drains. This detail must be included in the plans, not just referred to. Please adjust plans. The driveway profile has been modified to accurately show the driveway slope from STA 1+50 to STA 2+34, so there is no low point against the retaining wall located to the west of the driveway. All runoff will sheet flow north to the grated drywell lids, as described on the grading and drainage sheet. Perforated pipes C8 and C9 have been lowered to allow stormwater to reach the perforated pipes before backing up the system. Drain basins at each end of the perforated pipes are recommended, due to cleanout purposes and to potentially collect sediment in the catch basins before reaching the perforated pipes. These drain basins allow for easy clean out. The perforated pipes have been lowered so that runoff will reach the gravel bed before backing up the system. Figure 8.32 in the URMP for the membrane line/concrete connection has been added to the construction details sheet (detail #8).
