Attached are structural repair drawings for these two areas. The historic roof will remain intact by keeping the existing 2x6 framing and skip sheathing, we plan to infill with new framing & tube steel members to support the new roof. We will also be installing new interior steel columns to the foundation. This approach will keep the historic eaves, soffit & fascia intact, as well as the historic roof elevation will not change on the exterior of the house. The historic front porch has one column (east front column) that needs to be replaced with a new column, as it has significant rot damage. We will also need to install a new header at the front porch as the current header has failed and the porch is leaning to the east by over 1-1- /2”. All other historic members will stay intact. BMA will be submitting additional non-structural HPC information showing in detail the updates to the front porch. Please let us know if you need any additional information to process this structural work. Respectfully, Jamie L. Brewster McLeod, AIA Brewster McLeod Architects, Inc. 07/12/2018
