If you have any questions regarding the Zoning comments, please contact Zoning staff. Re-submittal: When all comments from all agencies have been addressed, contact your Permit Coordinator. If all comments have not been addressed, the resubmittal will be deemed incomplete, and will not be accepted. Historic Preservation and Zoning Comments: Zoning and HP Comment: ATM machines are not allowed to be on the exterior of a building anywhere within the City. Further, indication of an ATM machine was not included in the HPC Approval of October 11, 2017 (Resolution #21, Series of 2017). We regret that this was missed during the original permit review. ATM's are considered to be Television Signs, pursuant to Section 26.510.040.(Q), Television Signs, of the City of Aspen Land Use Code: "1. A 'television sign' means a television monitor, or any other electronic device that emits an image onto a screen. 2. Television signs shall be placed at least fifteen (15) feet set back from the storefront window. 3. Television signs less than one-hundred and eighty (180) square inches may be located five (5) feet from the storefront window only if oriented to not face the public right of way. 4. Television signs one-hundred and eighty (180) square inches or greater in area shall not be oriented to face the public right-of-way". Additionally, pursuant to Section 26.510.070.(A), Allowed Illumination, of the City of Aspen Land Use Code, backlit signs are allowed only when the sign is constructed of an opaque material. Please refer to the referenced Land Use Code sections and amend the plan so that the proposed ATM machine is only accessible from inside the building and meets the above Land Use Code requirements. Thank you, Amy Simon and Bob Narracci
