DIRECTOR OF EVENTS AND SPONORSHIP
JOB DESCRIPTION
I. Maintaining and Enhancing Events
· To generate national sponsorships and media exposure
for events hosted in Aspen
· Understand how to coordinate effort with ACRA, SKICO,
Stayaspen, MAA and other entities
· Quantify profitability/success of event
· Expand existing events
II, CREATE SPONORSHIP PACKAGE for EVENTS
TO SELL ASPEN
· Create marketing package for Aspen
· Why Aspen is better than other markets
III. NEW EVENTS
· Develop list of possible sponsors
· Develop list of potential events
· Market Aspen to PR companies, Ad agencies and Event
Companies as site for events
IV. CREATE BUSINESS PLAN
· Create funding for position
· Quantify profitability/success of position
· Explore benefit of hiring special events company

SALARY PROPOSALS
· Independent consultant/contractor
· Part-time position, approximately 40 hrs per month for the remainder of 2002.
Convert to full-time position in 2003
· Salary $30,000 plus bonus for remainder of 2002; Salary of $60,000 plus
bonus for 2003
· Provides own office space and office expenses; ACRA support possible
· Must report bi-monthlyto CCLC
