For the building permit we will require: Full permit application Existing plans (showing the door and no range) Proposed plans (showing no door and a range) Installation manual for range Normally we would require a listed fire assembly but in this case the work was already done. We won’t require it to be taken out. Let me know if you have any questions. After the building permit is approved and issued, your electrical contractor will apply for the electrical subpermit. In order to allow Community Development Department staff uninterrupted time to review permits, walk-in hours for questions are changing. Inquiries regarding permit status, estimated review timelines, and technical questions will be accepted without an appointment between 8:30am and 1pm. Permits may be picked up any time during normal business hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm Sophie Varga Zoning Enforcement Officer/Permit Coordinator Community Development 201 N. Planning/Zoning Staff has discussed this amended proposal and find it acceptable. Reinstallation of the kitchen will bring the structure back into code compliance and attaining a permit for walling off the doorway creates 2 separate and distinct units. Feel free to work with Sophie to submit for the necessary permits to reinstall the kitchen and permit the removal of the doorway. In an effort to keep a paper trail, please submit this email with your building permit application. If the scope of work changes and/or you have future work plans for the property, please contact me and we’ll go over the applicable land use code requirements. Can you tell me what we will need to submit for a permit to install a new electric range and refrigerator in an existing apartment. There is no other work than the demolition of cabinetry to accommodate. See the plan attached. Please let me know if we need to meet or if you can just list what is required. Again, we need the discussion with Planning to be resolved and all parties to be on board with the solution. It may be as simple as adding in the range; Mike is working on it. Please hold tight for a couple of days as he further researches the property.
