502.5 Parking spaces and access aisles shall comply with Section 302 and have
surface slopes not steeper than 1:48. Access aisles shall be at the same level as the
parking spaces they serve.
302 Floor surfaces shall be stable, firm, and slip resistant and shall comply with
Section 302. Changes in level in floor surfaces shall comply with Section 303
Answer: Parking surfaces for the accessible space and aisles must be firm, stable
and slip-resistant. Please see the government guidelines attached for recycled
asphalt pavement. The slope is acceptable, at grade between the surface of the
parking lot and the pathway system for the Aspen Center for Physics.
Provide cut sheets demonstrating: (compare with crusher fines), walking and
parking surfaces cut sheet(s)

As per Section 2. Amendments to International Fire Code – 2015 Edition,
(ii) Section 1029.14 Exceptions 1, 3, and 4 are hereby amended by:
Inserting 75 seats for 200 Seats.
1029.14 Seat Stability. In a building, room or space used for assembly purposes the
seats shall be fastened to the floor.
“Exceptions as per 1029.14 Seat Stability”
In a building, room or space used for assembly purposes or portions thereof without
ramped or tiered floors for seating and with 200 75 or fewer seats, the seats shall
not be required to be fastened to the floor.
Answer: Seating plan 2 on SK8 shows 72 seats. The three seating plans on SK8
comply with 2016 Fire Adoption- 6-1 (2016)
