The entire questionnaire portion is not applicable to any of the repair work required for 590 North Mill, as we are affecting the mass and scale of the existing structure in no way, shape or form. The existing door and window penetrations are to remain exactly as is, so additionally, no adverse effects will occur to the HPC or RDS concerns addressed by the Zoning Compliance Application Form. We do need to stress we are aware of all zoning and historical concerns regarding this process and have been in close working coordination with asset management, the building department, and Amy Simon of the Aspen HPC to ensure all matters have been addressed properly. As for the contractor, the work and contractor selection process is internally being driven by the ownership, which is the City of Aspen – Asset Management. At this time, discussions are occurring with Aspen Preservation Company LLC – Chris Thompson, Owner, but this has not been formally finalized. For all concerns on this matter, I need to forward the conversation to Mr. Jeff Pendarvis (970.429.2786) and / or Mr. Evan Pletcher (970.429.1779) for further conclusion on this matter. I thank you gentlemen for your consideration of our repair permit request. Respectfully, Derek Skalko, Project Manager C/O Gilbert R Sanchez, Architect – Senior Project Director Gilbert Sanchez, Architect MEMO 08/21/2017
