Subject: FW: 52 Pitkin Way ‐ Permit #0188.2018.ARBK
Hi Lauren,
I was able to connect with Parker at Aspen Fire. Please see his email below.
I will need to get documents together for Owner requested additional scope of new garage doors
and the Dining room window replacements noted on the attachment. I’ll need to coordinate the
2
lighting updates with the Owner and electrician before we can submit on that. I’m assuming the
building department will want information on the lighting as an efficacy verification. Please let me
know if you see any additional items we need to address with permitting.
Please let me know if we need anything else to be able to proceed without fire sprinklers at this point.
Thank you,
Sam Barney

Thank you for the conversation today, it helped paint the picture I needed to move forward. After looking over the
attached plans I believe this project, as it is currently proposed, does not create the access needed for the installation of
a fire sprinkler system. That being said, if the project scope grows or the owner alter the plans to the point where access
may be created let's circle back around and have another conversation. You are welcome to include this email with your
communications to the city so that they are on the same page. Please feel free to reach out with any other questions or
needs. Have a good afternoon.

Hi Parker,
We have picked up the permit for this project but have not yet begun work. We would like to
discuss with you the requirement for fire sprinklers for this project. I’m attaching a letter with further
description and markups of the permit plan set floor plans with additional description. Please let me
know when you would be available to discuss further.
