1) 'GeOexchange system loop fields shall be installed and·the systems' used in such a way as to cause no material injury to·
. valid, prior water-or geothermal rights. The issuance of this permit does not ehsure that no injury will occur to another valid,
prior water or geothermal right or preclude another owner of a valid, prior water or geothermal right from seeking relief in a
civil court action. .
.2) Tt;le cOl')structi9n of IOQp fields shall be in compliance with the Geothermal·Rules 2 CCR 402-10. unless apprbval of a'
variance has been granted by the State Engineer in accordance with Rule 14.
3) Ajjproved pursuant to CR~ 37-90:5-106 for the statewide construction of loop field~ for geoexchange systems. No ground
water diversion shall be allowed.
4) The loop fields in a geoexchange system shall be constructed within the boundaries of the property for which the
geoexchange system is being installed: .
5) Circulating. pipes installed.in geoexchange systems must be pressure tested in accordance with Rule 8.6 of the
.. GeOthermal Rules. .
6) Only non-toxic fluids shall be used as t.he circulating fluid in geoexchange systems in accOrdanCe with Rule 8.3.3 of the
Geothermal Rules. . .
7) W~hin sixty (60) days after completion of the loop fields-for each geoexchange ·system installed under this permit, a
COllstruction report and as-built drawing must Qe submitted pursuant to Rule 12. At a minimum, the as-built drawing shall
reference this permit number, and shall indicate the location of the loop fields, the location of all building.structures to be
served by the geoexchange system, and the location of any source or potential source of contamination in accordance with
Rule 6.4.2 of the G~othermal Rules. . .
·8) . In the placel')1ent of loop fields for geoexchange systems, the certified individual shalfat a minimum use the Division of
Water Resources" Qnlhie Mapping tool to assist in identifying what valid, prior water or geothermal rights are located within
1/2 mile of each proposed loop field. .
9) This permit'is valid for one year and cannot be eXtended. This permit is nontransferable. All work performed under this
perllJit must be performed by or under the supervision of Albert R. Wallace with Certification No'. GT-66.
NOTE: The previously issued petmit to constru~geoexchange 'system loop fields, issued on 912512012, expired on
9125/2013.
