in attendance: Bill Dinsmoor, Terry Butler and Kiki Raj. Absent were Hanna
Pevny, Siam Castillo, Don Sheeley and Fred Ayarza.
Staff. Kathy Strickland, Chief Deputy Clerk
MOTION: Kiki moved to approve the minutes of November 6" second by Terry.
All in favor, motion carried.
Bill said he met with the Mayor and restaurant owners and all the restaurant
businesses are concerned about the off season. Maybe we should invest in an
economist to evaluate the off season and how awful off-season was this year. They
are also concerned about XMAS. The businesses were all for doing something in
December but they didn't know what that would be.
Bill said in December and June we should be able to attract dynamic visitors.
June's weather is much more approachable.
12 Days of Aspen
Riley said he met with Julie and they are limited by the budget and there is not
enough help.
Riley said we should go forward with lighting of XMAS children tree Dec 1 st
followed by the Sardy House tree lighting. We could announce that the tree will
be lit up all winter and come see the children's ornaments.
Saturday market
Bill said it is mandatory that your booth be open for every market. Kathy should
announce for everyone to see the new applications.
Bill said all business frontages that apply will have right of first refusal.
Riley asked staff to follow through with an ad in the paper on the 12 days of
Aspen. Kathy said Mitzi handles the paper and I'm sure she will put something in
the paper. X_4
