ZONING PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS AND CORRECTIONS
1. Explain why the existing floor are is counted differently than the proposed. The mechanical
counts as floor area on both existing and proposed. The mechanical may not count as storage.
The as-built originally submitted for this permit did not include the changes made to the original
building permit. This was a mistake as it reflects what was originally submitted, and not what
was ultimately approved. Please see Re-issued sheet Z-4.4 As Built Floor Area Calculation with
Permit Revision 3 that was issued to the City of Aspen on March 25, 2015 and approved for
building permit.
2. Amend the address of the permit. The address for the ADU is 371 Relay and shall be posted.
All Sheets updated with correct address.
3. Please provide on the plan set the following items required for the ADU:

Full kitchen per section 26.520.050 Design Standards, illustrate on the plans
No changes proposed to approved kitchen plan. I have added as built Sheet 9.12 INTERIOR
ELEVATIONS ASU KITCHEN AS-BUILT to the submitted documents.
A designated parking space, illustrate on the plans
Parking space added. See sheet A0.01 Site Plan - Remodel
Storage equal to 10% of the floor area, mud room is not counted as storage. Indicate the
location of the required 10%.
Additional closet added in ADU. See sheet A0.2 UPPER LEVEL PLAN – REMODEL and sheet Z
4.4 – FLOOR AREA CALULATION – REMODEL.
Add the text to the set that, the ADU may not have an interior connection to the house.
