Subject: Percolation Testing, Lot 7, Double Bar X Ranch, Coach Road, Aspen, Colorado
Gentlemen:
As requested, H-P/Kumar performed percolation testing at the subject site on February 23, 2018
for surface water runoff system design. The findings of our subsurface exploration and
percolation testing are presented in this report. The percolation test was performed according to
our agreement for professional services with Oyster Shores, LLC dated February 7, 2018.
The percolation test was requested to be performed at a proposed drywell new the northwest
corner of the building envelope as shown on Figure 1 to meet City of Aspen requirements. An
exploratory boring was drilled down into the natural silty clayey sandy gravel and cobble soils
and percolation testing was performed in the completed borehole. A log of the exploratory
boring is shown on Figures 2.
Results of percolation testing performed at the boring location are summarized in Table 1 and
indicate a rate of about 5 minutes per inch. The groundwater level and bedrock in this arca are
generally known to be relatively deep and should not adversely impact the drywell design.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our office.
Sincerely,
H -Ps KUMAR

NOTES
I. THE EXPLORATORY BORING WAS DRILLED ON FEBRUARY 23, 2018
WITH A 4 -INCH DIAMETER CONTINUOUS FLIGHT POWER AUGER.
2. THE LOCATION OF THE EXPLORATORY BORING WAS MEASURED
APPROXIMATELY BY PACING FROM FEATURES SHOWN ON THE
SITE PLAN PROVIDED.
3. THE ELEVATION OF THE EXPLORATORY BORING WAS OBTAINED
BY INTERPOLATION BETWEEN CONTOURS ON THE SITE PLAN
PROVIDED.
4. THE EXPLORATORY BORING LOCATION AND ELEVATION SHOULD BE
CONSIDERED ACCURATE ONLY TO THE DEGREE IMPLIED BY THE
METHOD USED.
5. THE LINES BETWEEN MATERIALS SHOWN ON THE EXPLORATORY
BORING LOG REPRESENT THE APPROXIMATE BOUNDARIES BETWEEN
MATERIAL TYPES AND THE TRANSITIONS MAY BE GRADUAL
6. GROUNDWATER WAS NOT ENCOUNTERED IN THE BORING AT THE
TIME OF DRILLING.
