1. I-Beam – Structural I-Beam dimensions and
thickness by others
2. Spray Applied Fire Proofing – Spray applied fire
proofing encasing I-Beam and filling voids between
Z-Clips above and below I-Beam, thickness by others
3. Z-Clips – Min. 20ga z-clips extending through
spray applied fire proofing attached to I-beam with
typical steel fasteners max 16” O/C
4. Shaft Wall Assembly – Shaft Wall Assembly
installed per U, V, or W400 series design in UL Fire
Resistance directory
5. BlazeFrame – BlazeFrame J-runner profile
attached to Z-clips with typical steel fasteners
6. Control Joint – (optional) Zinc or Vinyl control
joint profile applied over rated gap per
manufacturer’s installation instructions
Notes:
-UL listed sealant applied to seal any small gaps
between spray applied fire proofing and BlazeFrame
profile
--UL listed sealant applied to seal any small gaps
between spray applied fire proofing and finish side
gypsum at bottom of wall (top of I-Beam)
Note: BlazeFrame joint products have been tested as
follows:
ASTM E-119 & UL 2079 - Refer to System No's:
HW-D-0631 & BW-S-0021
This Judgment represents a fire and smoke rated
assembly expected to pass UL 2079 standards if
tested
