While I was taking this picture the snow suddenly fell off the eastern roof (second photo). We thought the picture would be a useful illustration of how far the snow projects into the lawn, and in fact, will fall exactly where the new sidewalk is proposed. 2 This situation is obviously dangerous and will be even more so with a wider sidewalk. We had not experienced this situation before, but now wonder if there could be dispensation made to update the sidewalk but keep it narrow for safety. Let me know your thoughts and thank you!
