Spring Street, Suite 201 Aspen, CO 81611 (c) Ryan 970.274.1421 & Matthew 970.618.1645 (w) www.thunderbowlarchitects.com Scope of Work- This Change Order has the following components associated with it: Architectural We have reorganized some of the lower, main, and upper level spaces (A-101,A-102,A-103). We have changed the fenestration associated with these spaces (A-201,A-202). We have added a parapet to part of the roof (A-201,A-202,A-104). Zoning We have had to adjust the roof demo calculations in the following ways: • We verified two roof overhang area (on roof label 1, Z-003) to be different than previously thought • We verified we will need to demo a larger portion of the roof hatch area in order to install the new roof hatch (roof label 1, Z-003) • We verified that we can keep more of the existing framing at the front porch (roof label 2, Z-003) • We have changed the location and size of windows in the lower level bedroom existing walls (wall 5 and 4, Z-002) • We will have a higher roof point at point 1 due to the addition of a roof parapet in this area (A-001) Structural We have updated information relative to adding the rooftop parapet We have updated information relative to the floor plan and elevation changes 05/03/2018 520 N 8th Street Change Order (a) 300 S. Spring Street, Suite 201 Aspen, CO 81611 (c) Ryan 970.274.1421 & Matthew 970.618.1645 (w) www.thunderbowlarchitects.com Zoning Response to email dated April 5, 2018 Resubmitted sheets are A-102 and Z-002 as well as A-601 Comments received: Sheet Z-002 Wall demo calculations: 1. Provide dimensions of wall and area and numerical totals. Dimensions have been added to the Z002 sheet. Numerical totals are in the adjacent chart. 2. Please compete walls, for example wall 12 has not top line? As was originally submitted in the original permit, the top line of wall 12 is as shown as the entire remaining vertical portion of the wall was a glass sloping window system and therefore not part of wall calculations. A photo of this past condition has been included. 3. Please provide comprehensive demolition calculations. The change to the windows is not represented in the demolition calculations. For example, the windows on the west façade have increased yet the demolition calculation do not illustrate an increase in demolition. For example, there is a door added to ‘office’ 103 which is not illustrated as an increase in demolition. The increase in windows on the west façade are on a wall that is already counted as being demoed and therefore size does not matter. 4. Windows added to the ‘open to below’ are at South and East facades. These are existing openings that are not getting any bigger. 5. Please provide an updated window and door schedule Included. 6. Show the access hatch on the main level Included. 05/03/2018
