GENERAL COMMENTS:
1. Site has areas of high levels of shade and acidity due to evergreen
trees. Please submit a letter from the landscape designer verifying thespecified seed mix will survive under evergreen canopies.
2. Existing trees require medium water use to ensure their survival.
Adjust hydrozones and other plant species containing existing trees toreflect this water use. Mature size and extent of the root zone shall be
considered when designing irrigation and hydrozones. Call plan reviewtechnician to discuss options.
3. Identify areas of mulch and include specifications needed for
compliance (Non-Living General Landscape Design Criteria 5.3 including
depth, proximity to plant stems, and quality.
4. Further develop plant design to enhance understanding hydrozones
water use. Bioretention area and hydrozone 3 flower bed plant cover to
be specified.
5. ROW is required to comply with the water efficiency standards unless
a variance is received. Please indicate plant cover, tree types, soil
information, and irrigation design for these areas. If existing landscape is
not to be disturbed, indicate existing plant cover and irrigation type,
include this information in the documentation and update calculations to
reflect the water needs of the existing conditions.

Double check area calculations to ensure water efficiency is measured accurately.

Ensure that these specifications meet the required soil specifications:
Top soil and subsoil layers shall be sandy loam. top soil shall be at least 6 inches and have 5% organic matter by volume and subsoil shall have at least one to three percent organic
matter by weight. (5.1.1)
