The ECU’s assigned by this permit have been verified by on per ordinance specifications.
Other Conditions: All fees must be paid in full. The project must meet current Aspen Water Standards. Water meter must pass inspection. All connection to pre-tapped
service lines must be witnessed by Water Department personnel. Project is subject to final fixture count. This Utility Connection Permit does not include irrigation. A
separate permit must be issued. If construction is being done on the subject property this account shall be on a construction rate for nine (9) months from the date
that the tap is made. At the end of nine (9) months the account shall then go on the higher flat rate, until a water meter has been installed and passes inspection.
THIS AGREEMENT WILL BE RECORDED AND IS BINDING ON OWNER, HIS
HEIRS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS.
THE WATER SERVICE PROVIDED BY THE CITY UNDER THIS UTILITY
CONNECTION PERMIT IS SUBJECT TO, AND ALL OWNERS OF THE SUBJECT
PROPERTY ARE BOUND BY, ALL APPLICABLE PROVISIONS OF THE
CHARTER OF THE CITY OF ASPEN AND THE ASPEN MUNICIPAL CODE, AS
WELL AS ALL APPLICABLE RULES, POLICIES OR REGULATIONS OF THE CITY
NOW IN EFFECT OR AS MAY BE HERE AFTER ADOPTED.
ALL EXISITING TAPS TO BE ABANDONED MUST BE PHYSICALLY SEVERED
FROM THE CITY SYSTEM. NOTE: THE UNDERSIGNED SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR SCHEDULING AN INSPECTION BY THE CITY OF ALL
ABANDONED TAPS, SERVICE LINES, METER INSTALLATION AND CAPPED
WELLS AS A CONDITION OF PRECEDENT TO COMMENCING SERVICE.
THE UNDERSIGNED REPRESENTS THAT HE/SHE IS THE OWNDER OF THE
SUBJECT PROPERTY AND HAS READ, UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES TO THE
TERMS OF THIS UTILITY CONNECTION PERMIT AND WATER SERVICE

UNLESS ARRANGEMENTS ARE MADE WITH THE WATER
DEPARTMENT TO HAVE THE CURB VALVE CLOSED. SHOULD THE
CURB VALVE BE FOUND OPEN WITHOUT PERMISSION, WATER WILL
BE BILLED BACK TO DATE OF TAP. UTILITY INVESTMENT FEES FOR

TO REVISION UPON SURVEY OF COMPLETED STRUCTURE. ALL

ADDITIONAL FEES AS DETERMINED BY THE WATER DEPARTMENT.

COMPUTATION OF FEE
THE CITY SHALL BE THE SOLE PROVIDER OF ALL WATER SERVICE
TO THE SUBJECT PROPERTY FOR ALL PURPOSES, INCLUDING
IRRIGATION. WITHOUT THE CITY'S WRITTEN PERMISSION, THERE
SHALL BE NO USE OF RAW WATER FOR IRRIGATION PURPOSES,
AND NO OWNER OR OCCUPANT OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY WILL
DEVELOP OR UTILIZE AN INDEPENDENT RAW WATER SYSTEM
AND/OR WATER RIGHTS OR WELLS WITHIN THE SUBJECT
ALL WELLS LOCATED ON THE SUBJECT PROPERTY MUST BE
PROPERLY PLUGGED AND SEALED AS REQUIRED BY RULE 16 OF
THE COLORADO STATE ENGINEER'S REGULATIONS, OR ANY
AMENDMENT OR REVISION OF THAT RULE. IT IS THE ULTIMATE
REPONSIBILITY OF THE WELL OWNER TO HAVE A WELL PROPERLY
PLUGGED AND SEALED. WATER RIGHTS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH
WELLS MUST BE ASSIGNED TO THE CITY OF ASPEN BEFORE
WATER SERVICE WILL BE EXTENDED TO SUCH PROPERTY.
EVIDENCE OF WELL ABANDONMENT MUST BE PROVIDED TO CITY
OF ASPEN PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANT.
ADDITIONALLY, A RECORDED COPY OF THE COLORADO STATE
WELL ABONDONMENT FILING MUST BE PROVIDED TO CITY OF
ASPEN WITHIN 90 DAYS OF ABANDONMENT.

THE ORDINANCES OF CITY OF ASPEN REQUIRE, AMONG OTHER THINGS,
THAT OWNERS OF ANY PROPERTY OUTSIDE THE CITY LIMITS MUST, AS A
CONDITION OF RECEIVING CITY WATER SERVICE, (1) PROVIDE EITHER
WATER RIGHTS ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY OR CASH IN LIEU OF WATER
RIGHTS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE WATER SERVICE, AND (2) AGREE TO
ANNEX THEIR PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF ASPEN WHEN REQUESTED BY
THE CITY TO DO SO. BY OBTAINING WATER SERVICE PURSUANT TO THIS
UTILITY CONNECTION PERMIT, OWNER OF THE SUBJECT PROPERTY
AGREES THE SUBJECT PROPERTY WILL BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF
ASPEN AT SUCH TIME AS CITY SHALL REQUEST, AND THAT THE OWNER OF
THE SUBJECT PROPERTY WILL PAY ALL COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH
ANNEXATION.
