Galena Street Aspen, CO 81611 Re: Permit #0062. 2019.ARBK Change Order/211 Cottonwood Lane Dear Lauren, Per discussion in our meeting on Friday, July 12, 2019, the following is a summary of the changes from the permit documents for building permit change order #1 for this project. Updated sheets are: A1.3 (new), A1.4, A1.5, A2.1, A2.2, A3.1, A4.1, A6.1, S2.1, S2.2, S4.1, S6.1, Z1.1, and M1.1. 1) Elimination of the basement and crawlspace, change to shallow frost protected foundation. a. Updated limits for excavation (sheet A1.3) b. Update of area calculations, size reduced from 1966 to 1230 (A1.5, c. Removal of references to lower level d. Removal of interior stairs (A2.1) e. Updated exterior elevations to show removed subgrade space and fenestration changes (A3.1) f. Updated sections showing removal of subgrade space and stairs (A4.1) g. Updated REScheck for new foundation detail (A6.1) h. Updated foundation plan (S2.1) i. Updated framing plans, main level is now slab on grade, update to structural support of clerestory glulam (S2.2) j. Updated structural sections to reflect elimination of subgrade space, new foundation details and update to clerestory structure (S4.1) 2) Updated window and door schedule i. All lower level windows deleted ii. Removal of north facing windows – at grid D and C.9 iii. Removal of windows along grid 1 between C.9 and C 3) Updated Zoning summary (Z1.1) 4) New means and methods for heating and mechanical ventilation (M1.1) (I forgot to mention this in our meeting Friday) a. Electric heat pump strategy has been eliminated due to electrical service size available without increasing service size. b. Plumber has proposed gas boiler with side arm hot water heater and in floor radiant heat. c. Updated specification for ERV and indicated proposed routing. d. Added HVAC and Plumbing heating equipment schedules. 5) What has not changed: a. Footprint of the building, with the exception of elimination of the egress wells from the basement. b. Building size, shape, height. All exterior dimensions remain the same and are in the same position. c. Main level lighting has not changed and 75% or greater of the fixtures will be high efficacy.
