Structural drawings are stamped and signed by the engineer of record. Project Name: Aspen Ambulance District Facility Project Location: 401 Castle Creek Road, Aspen, CO 81611 Review based on International Building Code (IBC) Edition: 2015 Building Construction Type: Structure consists of metal deck on steel joists and beams at the roof level with a structural concrete slab on metal decking supported by steel joists and beams at the upper level. The lower level ambulance apparatus bays and classroom areas floor system is a concrete slab on grade. Foundation system is concrete foundation walls and footings. Lateral system consists of structural steel braced frames. Sheet S-100 General Notes: Please provide soils report referenced in the general notes for review. P a g e | 2 2. Sheet S-100 Entry Canopy Framing Plan: The column sizes for the canopy support framing do not appear to be noted on plan. Please provide. 3. Sheet S-103 Upper Floor Framing Plan: The lateral loads being transferred into Braced Frame #1 at the elevator/stair openings appear to be very high. Please provide calculations and details that indicate how these lateral loads are transferred into the braced frame without a floor diaphragm. 4. Sheet S-202 Braced Frame Details/Elevations: The overturning forces at Braced Frame #1 and #6 appear to be very high.
