This is an electric and telephone line. This linetype has been added to the legend. As discussed at meeting on 6/19, this saw cut is necessary to ensure a clean line on the outside of the milled joint A note has been added to abandon existing service in place, and to cap and plug at the sewer main We looked into this and determined that striping shouldn't be necessary here since the road is one way. The pedestrian route towards the hospital has been added (striping and the ramp/sidewalk location on the opposites side of the road). The ramp has been shifted over ~4' to line up with the existing striping and our plans now call for the road to be re-striped. The water main in HLR has been fixed to connect to the water main in Castle Creek Rd. The existing sewer pipe has been fixed here and the sewer service has been added per ACSD service maps. All other sheets have been updated accordingly. This dashed line represents the set back. The ditch at this location is a man-made anomaly. The proposed sidewalk and boulder wall is not changing grade by more than 30" from historic (without the man-made ditch) 06/26/2018 Page: [7] C-105 PARKING LOT LAYOUT & SIGNAGE File Name: 2018-05-09 AADF 100% CD Civil Set.pdf Please provide stop sign(s) and stop bar from exit road to Doolittle drive Page: [7] C-105 PARKING LOT LAYOUT & SIGNAGE File Name: 2018-05-09 AADF 100% CD Civil Set.pdf Provide signage detail(s) for accessible parking. Transformer easements shall be sized to include adequate clearance zones. Similar to the existing electric and gas lines, note on this sheet that the FO line will be removed following new FO utility work. Utilities have been added to these sheets in plan view. Exhibits have been added to C-115 showing the sight triangles for Doolittle and HLR intersections As discussed on 6/19/18, the service tie-ins cannot be moved since no work is being done in the HHS building. We have called for the sewer service to be encased in flow fill here (see C-120, C-203). Existing gas and electric will be abandoned prior to construction of these retaining walls. This is only a Holy Cross easement since the gas line at this point is only a service line. The easement is not exclusive and Holy Cross is okay with the gas line and other utilities being within the easement as long as required clearances are met (which they are). This easement has been corrected to include the transformer (both on our plans and in the preliminary plat). Holy cross has approved of the size of the easement around the transformer. This note for the electric and gas lines now includes the fiber as well. All trees have been moved to provide at least 5' of clearance from the HHS water service. These trees have been moved to the east 2' to provide additional clearance from the water service. The clearance from the water service to the tree trunks is now 7' which allows for ample space in the event that the water service requires maintenance. These trees have been moved out of the water easement. 06/26/2018 Page: [20] C-118 STORM SYSTEM LAYOUT - 1 File Name: 2018-05-09 AADF 100% CD Civil Set.pdf Please provide elevations and slopes for the trench drain and Pipe 24. Specifications for the size and material of the splash block has been added to this callout. The downspout location for sub-basin 1.6 has been labeled on plan view and profile view (on the east side of pipe 11) and identified as the POC for this sub-basin to clarify this point. This manhole has been labeled in plan view. As discussed at meeting on 6/19, the manhole slab will be 8" below grade and will not interfere with the construction of the sidewalk (will still have 4" concrete and 4" of road base over the slab). A profile for these pipes/inlets has been added to sheet C-202 These existing pipes and HLR EX Inlet have been labeled on this sheet. The separation here has been increased to 13" and labeled. We have updated the plans to call for encasement of the water line and for a stick of C900 to be centered on the crossing. The shutoff instruction are included in step 2. A reference to this has been added to step 1 as discussed. These sections of the storm system are too short to profile. Inlet dimensions, materials, pipe slopes etc. have been added for these pipes and inlets in plan view on C-118. 06/26/2018 Page: [23] C-121 WATERLINE P&P File Name: 2018-05-09 AADF 100% CD Civil Set.pdf These notes appear to be misplaced. Not sure what downspout connection shown in Pipe 11 in Profile 1 is for. Please label Pipe 14 in Profile 1. These notes are correct, the band labels in this profile are for the water line top of pipe (right) and the proposed grade (left). We discussed this issue with the Architect and advocated for moving the riser further into the building. This could not be accommodated and they believe that as designed, there is sufficient space between the footer and riser to construct and maintain this pipe. We have updated the plans to call for encasement of the sewer service with flow fill 10' either side of the crossing. The profile now states to deflect the pipe past the gate valve as necessary. The change in grade here corresponds to a 1.7° deflection which is well within the allowable range for ductile iron pipe. As discussed at meeting on 6/19, the utilities in this location cannot be moved to reduce the number of crossings. The layout of this hydrant assembly has been altered to allow for more space to operate the valve (1.4'). Bend 5 has been labeled in profile 1. The electric and gas crossings have been labeled on profile 2 As mentioned previously, this is the downspout connection from the portion of the roof that makes up sub-basin 1.6. Erosion Control Comments 1 - North Vehicle Tracking Pad: This pad will be used for vehicles accessing the west side of the site (the AADF building and HLR improvements). It is sufficiently sized to ensure a full wheel rotation for traffic traveling in this direction. The pedestrian route from the bus stop to the hospital is located to the east of this pad, therefore the traveling public will not be adversely impacted by this tracking pad. 2 - Southeast Vehicle Tracking Pad: The east edge of this pad has been moved to the west to keep it out of the westernmost wheel path for Doolittle Drive. A letter from CTL Thompson with this has been included. We reviewed the fire calcs and ran a headloss calculation which have been included with this submittal. These calculations show that a 4" service will be sufficient. Our plans have been updated to reflect this. The improvement survey plat has been updated with these easements. These utilities have been added to the improvement survey plat. This has been addressed in section 6.1 of the drainage report. 06/26/2018
