Please refer to attached.
Per the attached L3.00 drawing, there is a handrail that is to be installed on the south side of the building along the
sidewalk ramp. The handrail is to be anchored to the wall all the way until it reaches the planter bed at the southwest
corner of the building. When the handrail reaches the planter bed, it is anchored to the sidewalk and turns into a steel
guardrail. When the handrail/guardrail is anchored to the sidewalk, it must maintain a minimum of 3" from the wedge
anchor to the edge of the sidewalk. As currently drawn, the handrail would have to have any offset from the building so the
minimum distance to the edge of concrete can be met. FCI is proposing to extend the concrete sidewalk a total of 6" into
the planter bed towards the building so the handrail/guardrail can continue on a straight path. Please confirm the concrete
sidewalk can be extended into the planter bed.

If the concrete sidewalk can be extended into the planter bed thehandrail would flow in a straight line. If the sidewalk cannot extentinto the planter bes it would have to "jog" as shown above.
