This will serve as the tree protection zone (TPZ). This fence is to be constructed in such a manner that the area inside the dripline is protected. AN INSPECTION OF THIS FENCE MUST BE PERFORMED BEFORE ANY CONSTRUCTION OR DEMOLITION ACTIVITIES BEGIN. PLEASE ARRANGE THIS INSPECTION WITH BEN CARLSEN AT 429-2034. Ø No dumping of any waste products may occur in the TPZ. Ø Any roots cut during excavation shall be pruned with sharp loppers/pruners back to the soil line. The roots will further be protected by burlap draped over the side of the excavation covering the exposed roots. This burlap shall be kept moist until the excavation is backfilled. Ø Pruning to provide clearance for construction activities shall only be done under the direction of an arborist. Ø Site inspections shall be performed on a weekly basis, to ensure the above listed conditions are met. Ø Any unapproved improvements or activities outside of those approved within this permit will be subject to mitigation in the form of restoration. Ø This permit must be posted on site during the construction process. Tree protection fencing is required at the driplines of all trees shown. There is NO activity allowed within this fenced area, including, but not limited to: digging, storage of material, equipment, machinery, foot or vehicle traffic. Please contact the City Forester or his designee at 920-5120 for an inspection of this fencing Prior to any activity. If the need arises to perform any activity in the tree protection area, please contact the City Forester and you will be given specific instructions as to how to proceed to minimize impacts to the tree root zone.
