Adjourn o en 12 Days of Aspen 2013 - Executive Summary History: The 12 Days of Aspen celebration began in 2009 in an effort to bring vitality to Aspen's downtown core over the holidays. It is a collaboration between the Aspen Chamber Resort Association,CCLC,and the City of Aspen to offer events that provide memorable experiences for the holiday visitor. The 12 Days of Aspen calendar is a compilation of existing holiday events hosted by the Aspen community. It is supplemented with additional holiday themed activities produced by the ACRA. All of ACRA's events are free and open to the public. December 20:Free!Ice Skating Party with DJ Trizz! • Peach's Corner Cafe provided cider • City Market provided 400 holiday cookies • C.P. Burger provided free skate rentals • 30 skate rentals • Approximately 50 people on a flow basis December 22: FREE!Harmony Sisters • Susan&Barb singing carols • Well attended • Good location by Cooper fire pit December 23:Free!Make Your Own S'Mores with Santa's Elves! • Very Popular! More adults than children • Over 300 s'mores were made • Santa's Elves entertained the crowd—great addition to the event December 25:Free!12 Days of Aspen Ornament • ACRA visitors center handed out ornaments throughout the day • 200 FREE ornaments were given to guests December 26: National Candy Cane Day! FREE! Hot Chocolate,Cookies&Candy Canes • Hot chocolate provided by Paradise Bakery • ACRA designed a 12 Days commemorate mugs and sold approx. 100 for$5 • City Market provided 400 holiday cookies • Approximately 300 people on a flow basis December 28&29:Free!Family Fun with Clowns-Face painting,Balloon Animals&More • Dizzy Lizzy and Sparkles were very entertaining,kids loved them • Great crowds both days,steady stream of visitors • Good location at the fire pit on Cooper
