My comments:
It amazes me that the developer has gotten this far.
He claims to be filing under HPC rules but he fails everyone of the major ones: his mass and scale is four times the HPC guidelines; he is moving the existing building so there is no
front lawn or setback
Against guidelines; and he is proposing a building behind the existing building double the existing height again way outside of
The guidelines. He is in reality not
Applying under HPC at all.
Then if we look at applying under
Zoning he cannot apply as his structure is too big and multii
Units are not allowed on a property with only 4300 square feet and a width
Under 60 feet.
He has no business being in front of the Coumcil.
He believes by using the words
Affordable housing he can break or ignore every rule of Aspen.
To top it all off he was already told
By Council and HPC that his building at 2400 square feet was too big and he has the affrontery to
come back with a building at 4800
Square feet!
Hopefully the Council will give him
The answer he deserves and perhaps. A note that it doesn’t appreciate disrespect.
