Re: 993 Moore As-built Drainage Analysis
The drainage system was generally built per plan except for a portion of Pipe A (Southern Main), and a
portion of Pipe B (Western Main), the North Silva Cell Outlet and the East Silva Cell Outlet. We have
analyzed Pipe A and Pipe B minimum conveyance capacities versus required capacities. The as-built
drainage system operates as designed.
1. Pipe A Capacity:
Pipe A was designed with a minimum slope of 2%. All of Pipe A meets the requirements except
for the short run of pipe from Inlet 2 to the main. This section of pipe has a slope of 1.75%. The
only inflow to the pipe is from Inlet 2. Per the approved report, Inlet 2 captures 0.005 cfs of run-
off. The minimum pipe slope as depicted by the as-built survey is a 4” PVC @ 1.75% (see Fig-
ure 1 for calculation). The pipe has a carrying capacity of 0.346 cfs when flowing 80% full.
2. Pipe B Capacity:
Pipe B was designed with a minimum slope of 2%. The total runoff conveyed by Pipe B is 2.652
cfs. The minimum pipe slope as depicted by the as-built survey is a 10” PVC @ 1.17% (see Fig-
ure 2 for calculation). The pipe has a carrying capacity of 3.31 cfs when flowing 80% full.
