RE: Structural Observation, Exterior Brick, 111 S. Monarch, Aspen, Colorado
Oddo Project No. 2020-70
Dear Tim:
On November 6, 2020, Robert Oddo, P.E. with Oddo Engineering conducted a structural
observation of the condition of the existing exterior brick building at the above referenced address.
Our scope of service was to determine the structural damage from a recent contact with a fork lift to
the exterior of the building. Our observation was limited to the present condition and was limited to
areas easily accessible with no material testing. We did not perform any structural calculations. No
existing drawings were presented.
We were informed that a fork lift inadvertently ran into the corner of the existing brick building
dislodging a few bricks at the bottom comer and horizontally scrapping the surface of some bricks
on the alley side of the building.
From our general observation it appears that the brick building was not structurally damaged. We
recommend installing new bricks at the damaged comer of the building.
If you have any questions please feel free to give us a call to discuss.
Sincere
/' ODVO
