A tapered injection molded acrylic panel hangs from the trim plate. The acrylic panel utilizes an invisible hinge and removeable arrows that allow the installer to choose all combinations of surface or recessed mounting including arrow configurations in the field. Housing: The Uno housing is constructed of die cast aluminum with a brushed finish standard. The housing includes adjustable mounting bars to allow for a flush fit to the ceiling. The housing is shipped with mounting bars installed for recessed mounting, simply remove the mounting bar assembly to configure the housing for surface mounting. 3/4” conduit knockouts are included in the top and side of the housing. Trim Panel Assembly: The trim assembly is constructed of die cast aluminum with a brushed finish standard. The trim assembly can be configured in the field for recessed ceiling or wall installation, as well as surface mounting. The die cast trim assembly attaches to the housing using captive, recessed concealed screws to ensure a tight, flush fit to the ceiling. The panel assembly is constructed of injection molded acrylic, tapered for a slim appearance. The panel assembly consists of 2 halves allowing the installer to choose single or double faced installation in the field. The panel halves are held together with an invisible hinge, allowing panel configuration to be changed easily in the field. All panels have removable arrows applied in the factory allowing arrows to be removed in the field to achieve all arrow combinations. Electronics/Battery: Both Battery and AC only units accept input of 120/277 VAC, 60 Hz. Power consumption is 1.9 watts. Battery backup models use maintenance free NiCad batteries. Charging is accomplished with a constant current charger capable of recharging as per UL924 standards. No mechanical relays are used, transfer is accom- plished using solid state circuitry. LED Illuminator: The LED Illuminator consists of 10 Ultra bright Piranha LEDs. The Piranha LED has a nearly 180 degree emitting angle allowing for even illumination. The LEDs are wired in sets of two, insuring that in the unlikely event of a single LED failure, the sign will continue to be illuminated. Secure Cable Grippers (4) on Canopy. 2. Insert Steel Cable into each Cable Gripper until it exits out the side of the Cable Gripper. 3. Slide Power Cord through feed hole on Canopy and secure with Strain Relief (Fig.1). Leave sufficient Power Cord exiting out of Canopy Strain Relief to connect to building power. Connect wires as shown in wiring diagram(Fig. 3). 4. Push all wires back into the Junction Box. Be careful not to pinch wires. 5. Mount the Cross Bar on Junction Box with screws (2 supplied by others).Attach safety Tether Cable from Cross Bar to Canopy with included hardware. 6. Place the Canopy on the mounting surface. Align with 1/4-20 screw and secure with 1/4-20 nut (both supplied). 7. Run Power Cord through SMK (Surface Mount Kit) center feed hole. 8. Wire Driver to male connector, see wiring diagram. 9. To install EZPAN Fixture (sold separately) in SMK, slide the Fixture into the SMK by following directional arrow (Fig 4). 10. Plug Female and Male Connectors to complete electrical splices by following wiring directions on EZPAN fixture instruction sheet. 11.
